Welcome to the Senior Building
Silverwood's Senior Program is comprised of students in grades five and six who are encouraged to work to their full potential, often in experiential settings, collaborate with students in other grades, be adventurous in their studies, and apply their learning to in-depth projects, both independently and in small groups. The students are expected to exhibit a generosity of spirit and work within a code of values they have summarized as "Respect each other and the environment." The Science classes take advantage of the school's science "labs"--two greenhouses, a pond, a stream, and acres of woods.
The Senior faculty integrates the curriculum so students make connections among all subjects.
