Founded in1984, Silverwood School believes that children are inherently curious, creative, fun-loving, and generous. The purpose of the school experience is to foster these tendencies, and that is what you will find everyday at Silverwood.

An especially committed and loving group of teachers encourages interactive and interdisciplinary approaches to learning, paying special attention to the needs of each child. In the classroom, on the playground, or on a field trip, Silverwood students and teachers work together to understand our world and each other, to grow as individuals, and contribute to the larger community beyond Silverwood.

Silverwood School is a candidate member of the Pacific Northwest Association of Independent Schools, a member of the Washington Federation of Independent Schools, and is chartered by the state of Washington.
